Detention

• Persons may be temporarily detained if:
  • Determined to be in violation of any local, state or federal laws or statutes
  • Discovered bringing contraband onto a premises prohibiting it
    • Contraband will be confiscated
• Persons detained will be turned over to the appropriate law enforcement agency if warranted by the situation.
  • Employees involved in theft and/or vandalism may be turned over to loss prevention if applicable.
• Vehicles involved in a crime may be impounded.

The Colorado Revised Statutes clearly outline what we can and cannot do regarding searches, seizures and detainment. We are bound by the letter of the law in these areas.

Any and all of the above-mentioned policies may be enacted at a client’s request.
